We know there are a lot of alternatives for you out there in the virtual world to shop your sunglasses from and you being here means a lot to us. We are a team of young entrepreneur(s) trying to make changes in how this business is run one step at a time. Our sole motto is to provide you with the sunglasses you can cherish, Sunglasses that you can be proud to wear and maybe if all goes well spread the word.

However, the world as we know has changed. With COVID around, we are not even sure that we will ever see normal again. As of today, India has crossed a total of 7.6 million cases and is ranked no.2 in the world (something we cannot be proud of) .

As per the statistical data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation the Indian economy went down by 23.9% (April – June). Many people lost their jobs, their businesses and most importantly their peace of mind.

The implications of living in this COVID era has been a massive stress trigger and has led to negative psychological effects on the population leading to long bouts of stress caused by forced isolations, financial stress, unhealthy lifestyle choices all acting up as precursors for depression and anxiety. In addition, those who are already suffering from these disorders have found it very difficult.

As a responsible citizen , it is our duty to seek help for the ones who cannot do it for themselves . Sometimes the people suffering from Mental Health disorders are also unaware of the fact that they are not well.

Depression – Loss of interest in activities, causing significant impairment in daily life (More than 10 million cases per year in India)

Anxiety disorder – Feeling consistently worried or fear that is strong enough to interfere in daily activities (More than 10 million cases per year in India)

Bipolar disorder -Massive mood swings, ranging from depressive lows to manic highs (More than 10 million cases per year in India)

Dementia – Forgetfulness, limited social skills and thinking abilities so impaired that it interferes with daily functioning (More than 10 million cases per year in India)

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder – (ADHD) – Limited attention and hyperactivity (More than 10 million cases per year in India)

Schizophrenia – A disorder that affects a persons ability to think, feel and behave correctly (More than 1 million cases per year in India)

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder – (OCD) – Excessive thoughts that lead to repetitive behavior (More than 1 million cases per year in India)

Autism – Impairs the ability to communicate and interact as it impacts the nervous system and affects the overall cognitive, emotional, emotional , social and physical health (More than 1 million cases per year in India)

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) – A disorder characterized by failure to recover after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event. (More than 10 million cases per year in India)

Now that you have read till here and are now aware of some of the disorders, it is important that you are aware of the warning signs and symptoms so that your loved ones can get the medical attention they deserve.

  • Confused thinking
  • Prolonged depression (sadness or irritation)
  • Feelings of extreme highs and lows
  • Excessive fears, worries and anxieties
  • Social withdrawal (isolation from friends, family)
  • Dramatic changes in eating or sleeping habits
  • Strong feelings of anger
  • Strange thoughts (delusions)
  • Seeing or hearing things that aren’t there (hallucinations)
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Sudden excessive substance use (Alcohol, Drugs)
  • Inability to perform daily tasks, bating, getting dressed etc.

As per the latest NCRB data, India sees an average of 381 suicides per day (2019) , totaling to 1,39,123 fatalities.
